2021 Merlot Cuvée Alexandre

Casa Lapostolle was founded in Colchagua by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994. It is currently run by their son Charles de Bournet. Using grapes from their own regional vineyards and under the enological supervision of Andrea León, they make wines with a firm expression and fruity flavor from mostly Bordelais and a few Mediterranean varieties. The vineyard, planted in 1997, is located on the Apalta ridge and spans 140 hectares, 1/3 of which is Carménère and another Cabernet Sauvignon. If there is a style that perfectly represents what Apalta can offer in terms of maturity and finesse, there is no doubt that Clos is that wine. Even in a rich style, it finds a point of balance that helps the aging.
