This is a fine set of new releases from La Spinetta and proprietor Giorgio Rivetti. The 2020 Barbarescos are notable for their energy, vibrancy and more subtle use of French oak than in the past. La Spinetta fans will still find plenty of textural intensity, but the wines are not as opulent as they once were. Historically, these wines have aged quite well. I expect that will be the case here as well.
