Alain Vauthier, with his daughter Pauline and the team led by cellarmaster Philippe Baillarguet, made some of the most remarkable wines of the vintage across all of the Vauthier family's properties. This tasting, which was towards the end of my two weeks in Bordeaux, after I had tasted most of the wines, was truly remarkable. From top to bottom, the Vauthier family's 2015s are not to be missed. At the high end, well, the wines ascend into the realm of the truly breathtaking.
