I found much to admire in these new releases from Michael Keenan. The range can essentially be divided into two sets of wines; those made from estate fruit and those that are made from purchased fruit. In nearly all cases, the estate wines are quite a bit more interesting and pedigreed. The Merlot Reserve Mailbox Vineyard is one of the most distinctive wines in all of Napa Valley.
