Revisiting the 2014s with Louis Kapcsándy Jr. and Consulting Winemaker Tony Arcudi was bittersweet. I still remember tasting those wines from barrel and then in bottle in the early days with Lou Kapcsándy Sr. and winemaker Denis Malbec, both of whom are no longer living. The 2014s are impressive. In fact, I prefer them to the 2013s here. More importantly, I have to think these are precisely the wines Lou Kapcsándy Sr. dreamt of making, wines that could age with elegance and class.
