Jordan Fiorentini produced a knockout set of wines from the 2017 vintage that count as some of the best work I’ve yet experienced from this impeccably run estate covering 570 acres (that’s right, 570, with just over 70 planted to vines). Despite the heat of the growing season, the wines come off graceful, if quite concentrated, and I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn’t tasting 2018s as I worked through them. Blending is a big thing here, which no doubt helped mitigate much of the inherent richness and brawn of the 2017 vintage, keeping the wines lively and focused.
