"Fresh, typical, terroir-driven," says winemaker Vincent Munier of the 2007s. "The wines are riper but less tannic than the 2006s," he added, noting that the Nuits-Saint-Georges Murgers was harvested at 13.9% natural alcohol and the Vosne-Romanee Suchots at 13.6%. "The 2007s are higher in alcohol than 2006 by far, and lower in acidity. But there was also less rot, as we left more grass in the vineyards in August, and the grapes didn't absorb much water and swell." Still, I prefer the 2006s here for their precision and structure.
