I was struck by the freshness and energy of the new wines from Voge. The "basic" Cornas, Les Chailles, is especially successful in 2004 and 2005, as are the white Saint-Perays. There are lots of old vines here, placed in some of Cornas' best sites. No more than 20% new barrels are used in elevage.
