At 100 hectares, this property in the extreme southwest of the Tokaj area is the largest in the region.According to managing director László Mészáros, 95% of this land was classified as first growth back in the original classification of the region's vineyards in 1730.The ideally placed property, a massive single tract of land, is bounded by the river, the mountain and the Hungarian plain, and is mostly on volcanic base rock, with rhyolite, rhyolite and tufa and some light clay.Autumn mist and humidity from the river make Disznókő one of the region's best sources for aszú wines.Like many of his colleagues, Mészáros very much likes the 2011 vintage. He also made good quantities of aszú wines that year, which was rare for the region.
