There are a number of highlights in this range from Deutz, a historic house in Aÿ that seems to go through a period of being overshadowed by some of its neighbors, not so much in terms of quality but more speaking to visibility in the market. One of the defining signatures of the Deutz house style is that the wines undergo full malolactic fermentation, which gives these Champagnes, even the Chardonnay-based cuvées, considerable textural depth and resonance.
