I was so impressed with the 2021s from Cliff Lede and longtime winemaker Chris Tynan. The Cabernets are rich and opulent to the core, as they always are. My impression is that Tynan has done a lot of work in recent years to back off extractions a bit. That’s evident in wines with silky, polished tannins that avoid the harder contours that were once the norm here. The 2021s here are seriously impressive.
