Founded in 1998 by Valentí and Ramon Llagostera, Mas Doix is located in Poboleda. Working with estate vineyards on the river shore and mountain slopes, the Llagosteras cultivate Mediterranean varieties with biodynamic practices. A couple of these vineyards, Tossal d’en Bou and Coma de Cases, date back to the beginning of the 20th century. Situated atop a hill, the winery has a beautiful view of the Sierra del Montsant, overlooking the Siurana Valley in the opposite direction. The house style is international, with substantial reds and well-judged aging. Jordi Jutglar oversees viticulture, and Sergi Batet manages oenology. The best wines in this range are the single-vineyard bottlings.
