A few months ago I tasted the 1929 Brolio. Even after all of these years and decades, the 1929 was gorgeous. I am sure the wine was better, probably much better, earlier in its life, but even at 75 years of age, the 1929 still had excellent freshness. That is what Sangiovese is capable of when it is grown in the right places. What is the likelihood any of Brolio's recent wines will age as well? Not too high. Brolio could and should be one of the top estates in Chianti Classico. It would be great to see that happen.
