These are four magnificent Cabernets from proprietor Brion Wise. In fact, the 2018s are the best wines I have ever tasted here. Wise has a unique approach in that he likes to assign winemakers to specific vineyards. Julien Fayard works with Sleeping Lady, while Mark Herold makes Oakville Ranch, Caldwell and Moon Mountain. It’s hard to argue with that approach given the results. All four wines are super-rich and luscious, but also highly expressive of place. That’s a combination that is sure to win many fans.
