A lot is happening at Brezza these days. The 2019s are another step in the right direction for an estate that is knocking on the door of some of its more famous neighbors. Readers who have not checked out these wines in a few years will absolutely want to address that quickly. Enzo Brezza and his team gave the 2019s about a month on the skins, with submerged cap maceration at the end. The malolactic fermentations were done in cement, after which the wines were racked into cask, where they spent two years before being racked back into cement for eight months before bottling. I am very impressed with what I tasted on my most recent visit.
