Beaulieu Vineyard releases their wines a bit later than most of Napa Valley estates, so most of the lineup I tasted with winemaker Jeffrey Stambor consisted of 2012 Cabernets. In addition to the flagships, I also tasted some of the smaller production bottlings that emerge from the estate's most important historic vineyards, known as BV 1 and BV 2. The 2012 Cabernets are supple, mid-weight wines that will drink well pretty much upon release, which is to say they are pretty representative of the year as a whole.
