These 2017s from Alma Fria are terrific. Carroll Kemp has settled into a more balanced style than the approach he used at Red Car, where the wines could be at times too lean. The Alma Fria 2017s strike a nice middle ground. Qualitatively, the wines are pretty similar, which I suspect has a lot to do with the heat of the 2017 growing season.
