Adelsheim Vineyards hasn’t missed a beat since Ginny and David Adelsheim sold their shares to their long-time partners, Lynn and Jack Loacker, in 2017. That same year, Gina Hennen, who had worked alongside long-time winemaker David Paige since in 2007, took on a lead role. Adelsheim releases their wines at more leisurely pace compared to their colleagues, the 2018s are the current vintage. It’s a fine set of Pinots. There’s the power that marks the vintage, but there’s a fine sheen to them as well. The wines take a little time to open up, so decanting is in order, or better yet, a few years of cellaring. The Adelsheim Pinots have a commendable track record for aging. They can be cellared with confidence, even those from hot years.
