This is another super-impressive set of wines from Manfred and Elaine Krankl. At a stage in their lives when they could be slowing down, the Krankls keep adding new wines to their range. The quality and singularity of these wines have never been greater. As always, the Sine Qua Non wines are rich and textured, but, as I have written here in the past, they have also gained considerably in nuance. My tasting at Sine Qua Non was one of the highlights of my June trip through greater Santa Barbara.
