I was quite taken with David Croix's collection of 2015s. David Croix was among the winemakers I tasted with who cited the combination of healthy sugars and bright acidities is discussing the character of his 2015s. Croix adds that the optimal time for picking was narrow, so he brought in all of the fruit in 4 days, as opposed to the more typical 7 or 8. Croix has recently moved from Camille Giroud to Domaine Roulot, but will keep making these wines as well. The 2015s are some of the best wines I have ever tasted here. The Corton La Vigne au Saint in particular is a real knock-out. The wines are elegant and precise, with lovely vivacity and tons of personality. Quite a few wines are done with some whole clusters, but the stem component is rarely evident.
