I was super-impressed with the wines I tasted at Cliff Lede. Winemaker Chris Tynan and his team clearly nailed the major decisions in the field and cellar. Specifically, gentler extractions and less new oak are among the choices that really allow these wines to shine. I have often found the Cliff Lede Cabernets a bit pushed, but not in 2017. The wines are simply magnificent.
