I will keep this short as a standalone article on Porseleinberg is being written with a vertical back to the maiden release. With respect to the 2021, winemaker Callie Louw said: “We had ideal growing conditions. October was dry, then we had rain in November and December, a tiny bit in January, clean growing conditions with just five days of heat spikes, less than in 2022.” Let’s keep it simple: it’s one of the Cape’s best Syrah wines, and you need to have it in your cellar, preferably allowing several years of maturation in bottle.
