In Vincent Maurel's opinion, "in simple terms 2011 is a pretty vintage while 2012 is richer.Not the structure of 2010 or the weight of 2009 or the ripeness of 2007, maybe more classic than those."He thinks that a generation ago the '12s would have been considered massive "but it's a different climate now, for weather and for peoples' tastes."Maurel believes that 2004 is the most recent vintage that people should be actively drinking ("they are a point") and that his 2011s will follow a similar trajectory "but maybe always having a little more depth."
