While Erica Landon and Ken Pahlow have established a reputation for producing some of Oregon’s most complex Chardonnay, their Pinot Noirs have not yet attracted the attention they deserve. In 2018, a vintage that generally yielded Pinots of power and structure, the Walter Scott bottlings show admirable freshness and elegance, albeit with depth. I’d hold off on opening them for a few more years but they do drink well after decanting, as I experienced with all of these wines during my tastings.
