Despite the warmth of the 2009 growing season Fred Scherrer was able to pick his pinots at "as low as 23 Brix and no higher than 26," which is his personal sweet spot for the variety. There are a range of cabernet vintages on release here (back to 2001, in fact) because Scherrer feels strongly that "different customers have different likes and dislikes when it comes to where they want their wines to be when they open them."
