Sashi Moorman’s Piedrasassi wines are once again brilliant and full of promise. I tasted the 2017s prior to bottling, and was really impressed across the board. The wines are rich, super-expressive of site and just gorgeous. Best of all, prices are very reasonable. Over the last few years, Moorman has really dialed in his winemaking style here, most notably with the Rim Rock Syrah, which, in my view, remains his most distinctive wine in this range.
