Jason Kesner, whose day job is as assistant winemaker at Kistler, has expanded the lineup of his personal project, which he started in 2002. Kesner was the vineyard manager for Hudson Vineyards from 2000 until 2008 and the first vintage for his own label was 2003. His winemaking path has included work with Kongsgaard and Ramey and it shows in his wines, where he strives for "texture and vineyard transparency." The wines see little new oak and are aged for a relatively long time on their lees. Kesner racks only prior to bottling and does not add yeasts, enzymes or acid.
