This is another strong set of wines from the Donelan family. Readers will note the addition of a new Pinot Noir, Tripp's Block. The approach at Donelan is centered around the pursuit of sites that allow for full ripeness, and therefore full flavor development, at lower sugars. As is so often the case, the Syrahs are the highlights in this range. The Syrahs are generally fermented with a healthy amount of whole clusters and mostly aged in neutral oak. When these wines are on, as is often the case these days, they are remarkable.
