Kevin Law has an uncanny ability to make wines that are rich, but not at all heavy. Law is among the producers who describe 2017 as a year with mostly moderate climate that did face the challenges of vintages 2013-2016, which were part of the previous drought cycle. The Pinots were all brought in before Labor Day, while the Chardonnays were all picked after. More importantly, the 2017s are flat-out delicious, not to mention some of the most distinctive wines in Santa Barbara.
