Chambolle-Musigny-based Louis Boillot’s 2016 Moulin-à-Vents stand out for their depth and power, characteristics that I associate more with 2015 than with this classic vintage that produced mostly elegant, vibrant Beaujolais’. The wines don’t lack for finesse, though, but I think that these are wines that will reward patience more than most examples from the vintage. I strongly encourage those who buy them to stash their bottles away for a while to allow them to show their full potential.
