David Adelsheim and his long-time winemaker David Paige have maintained a steady pace, producing Pinots that nicely combine fruit intensity and finesse. One of the State's pioneering high-quality wineries, Adelsheim is as consistent a producer as can be found in Oregon; I go back to the 1983 vintage here. Since Adelsheim set up shop in 1972 his total planted acreage has gone past 200 acres and includes a good bit of white grapes as he believes that the Willamette Valley may, in the very long run, be better known for white wines than reds.
