With a history that stretches back to 1858, this is one of Rioja’s largest (500 hectares) oldest and most famous bodegas, producing traditionally styled wines that have a strong track record for aging. While American oak was traditionally used exclusively here, in recent years French barrels have come into play, especially for the high-end wines. The Reserva bottling is highly traditional in style, made in large quantity and delivers outstanding value, with cellar-worthy potential as well.
