Glaetzer Wines has been part of the fabric of the Barossa since 1888, with Colin Glaetzer establishing the winery in 1995. It is a reliable home for dense, modern Barossa wines that inevitably have broad appeal. Today, Ben Glaetzer runs the show with low-yielding vineyards, new French oak maturation balanced with American oak influences, key hallmarks of the Glaetzer style. The Eye of Ra, a relatively new label in the Glaetzer range, is stunning in 2018. The tasting included both current and back vintage premium releases.
