Proprietor Tom Futo and Winemaker Jason Exposto made the most brilliant wines of their careers in 2019. The wines are just off the charts. Futo's 5500 Cabernet, from the home vineyard in Stags Leap, is magnificent. Exposto describes 2019 as a year with long ripening and the longest harvest yet at the estate. Yields were in line with 2018, but individual picks were smaller while the number of co-fermented lots was higher.
