Tenuta Sarno 1860

A Fiano specialist, Tenuta Sarno 1860 offers only this one wine, and it’s one of the better Fiano di Avellinos made today. The vineyards are located in the cool microclimate of the Candida area, at 500 meters' elevation, with seven hectares of clay/calcareous soils with volcanic elements and the characteristic whitish stones that give the area its name. The vines are still very young (planted in 2004) so, given the quality of the wine already, the future looks bright for this winery. I’m a big fan.
