Sequitur

There was a single Pinot Noir bottling from 2019 made here, and it’s a killer, one of the best wines of the vintage. Mike Etzel needs no introduction, and while he continues to be involved with Beaux Frères, which is now under the watch of his son, Mikey, the Sequitur project allows him some room to tinker, as he did in 2018 by making an excellent amphora-raised Pinot Noir. There’s obviously a bloodline with Beaux Frères, and this still a relatively new endeavor, but so far, the Pinots here seem a bit more restrained than those being made next door. This 2019 is lovely right now, so I suppose if you have a few bottles, it would be good to try it out, but its best years are well ahead of it.
