J.M.B. Sorrel
This small domain produces a tiny quantity—roughly 50 cases a year—of white Hermitage from fruit grown in the Les Rocoules lieu-dit. It's typically made in a round, ample style that's well suited to rich, buttery and full-flavored foods like old-school curries and, especially, the classic preparation of chicken in cream sauce with morels. Stinky, washed-rind cheeses are also a good call, as are strong blue cheeses.
