Di Costanzo - Costa

Erin and Massimo Di Costanzo presented a stunning set of wines, capped off by a series of brilliant 2021 Cabernet that capture the essence of a house style deeply rooted in Napa Valley classicism. Massimo di Costanzo gave the 2021 Cabernets 25 days on the skins, opting for slow fermentations. Aging is projected to be 18-20 months, with 50% new oak. The Di Costanzos add two new wines to their range with the 2021 vintage. The first is a Chardonnay from Deering, a stunning vineyard in Sonoma’s Moon Mountain District. The Di Costanzo Chardonnay emerges from a block planted with material taken from the former Chuy Vineyard (now Mid-slope), which for years was famed for the quality of its Chardonnay. Also joining the lineup is a new Cabernet from Charlie Smith, one of many sites developed by legendary vineyard manager Phil Coturri.
