des Fougères

Château des Fougères is a small ten and half hectare property planted mostly on a mix of fine gravel and sand/clay soils. The vines are still quite young, so there is every reason to think the best is yet to come. The 2014 spent 30 days on the skins and will see about 30% new oak, while Frédéric Massie is the Consulting Winemaker. It has only been a few years since Dominique Coutière acquired the property, so it is going to be very interesting to see how things develop. The future certainly looks bright.
