Cascina delle Rose

Cascina delle Rose's 2016 Barbarescos are pretty big wines that feel more concentrated than the past. It's hard to say if that is the result of the vintage, or more of a stylistic evolution. Time will tell. Brothers Davide and Riccardo Rizzolio gave their 2016s 25-30 days on the skins, followed by 20 months in cask. Needless to say, it will be fascinating to see where this small, family-run estate in Barbaresco goes in the coming years.
