Anthony Thévenet

This new estate's vines lie entirely in Morgon and some are reportedly over 150 years old. Anthony Thévenet inherited three hectares of vines from his grandfather in 2013 and he farms them organically. The wines undergo carbonic maceration and are raised in concrete vats, with minimal sulfur additions, before being bottled without fining or filtration. These 2013s mark the first releases for the domaine. In 2014 Thévenet acquired a parcel of Morgon Côte du Py, also by inheritance, so another bottling may or may not be in the works here. For those curious, this Thévenet is not related to the two better known Thévenets in Morgon, Jean-Paul and his son, Charly, or any of the Thévenets in the Mâconnais either.
