BY VINOUS |

Our latest Burgundy update covers a smattering of wines Neal Martin and Antonio Galloni have tasted in recent months, everything from entry-level offerings all the way up to Grand Crus. Neal writes, “On 10 March I attended what turned out to be my last organized tasting, courtesy of Burgundy importers Flint Wines, before lockdown. How we laughed knocking elbows together instead of shaking hands, still not quite recognizing the gravity of the situation. The omens were there however – you only needed to look at the empty tables where Italian winemakers should have been pouring their wines. Despite the eerie atmosphere, I tasted around 30 wines that deserve to be reviewed not least because they reside at the affordable end of the Burgundy spectrum.”
